Chair, Education Committee
Imagine, explore, create, launch, perpetuate. Do these words describe you?
Children's Health, Education and Leadership Project (H.E.L.P.) announces a call for nominations and applications for the new position of Chairman, Education Committee. This is a volunteer position that includes a seat on the Board of Trustees.
Children's H.E.L.P. is a California 501(c)(3) public humanitarian aid organization that was launched in 1999. It has completed its start-up and has initiated its growth phase with the successful registration of a sister charity ("Ayuda A Los Ninos") in Spain. Our vision is global in scope but we are currently focused on the plight of the extreme poor in Africa and the Middle East. As part of the build-up to a major expansion to fulfill our vision, we are recruiting educators and school administrators to apply.
The role of Chair, Education Committee is to design and develop education-related programs that will deliver education supplies and services to poor children around the world. This is a strategic advisory post where vision and the skill to motivate execution of your programs is critical.
Candidates must have a masters or doctoral degree in the field of education or come with extensive practical work experience in the underdeveloped-nation environment. A demonstrated initiative and ability to develop and grow our Education Committee is required. Executive level management or consulting experience is desirable. Previous school board experience is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in any aspect of education in the international arena. A history of volunteer service or missionary work will be recognized favorably.
This position will remain open until filled. Review of nominations and applications, however, will commence on November 1, 2000. Please direct nominations and letters of interest to:
